ancient greeks(not the yogurt)

There are lots of interesting things about the Ancient Greeks. For example, some Greeks would not eat beans because they were assumed to contain dead soul. Also, a lot of the sports we play today were actually Greek Olympic games. (Ex: wrestling, boxing, and long jump.) Most Greeks wore a chiton, or a long shirt made of one piece of cotton. Some amazing myths are the story of  Achilles, a hero whose mom dipped him in the river of Styx by his Achilles tendon, making him invincible,
and the story of the Trojan horse, where the Greeks were fighting Troy, and used a wooden horse with Greek soldiers hidden inside and the Trojans, thinking it was a gift, rolled it inside their fort. The Greeks, in the middle of the night, let the rest of the soldiers in to the city. Troy was robbed, ransacked, and burned. Based on my article, how do you think Achilles dies? ( do not look it up on the internet)

  1. Oh, that’s so cool! I didn’t know that our sports were all started by Greeks! It seems that there are a lot of things in our time that originated from Greece! Did you know that even the Olympics started from Greece? The games featured the best and the brightest athletes of all of the Greek cities. What else did we copy from other cultures?
