India's Food

There's a lot of interesting foods in the world from a lot of different places. But I decided to choose food from India. I'm going to mainly focus on dessert's from India. I've to decided for it to be about dessert because I love dessert. One dessert that I would really like to try is Goan Coconut Cake. It sounds and looks really good, you should look it up!! A dessert I don't want to try is Chana Dal Burfi. This is Split Pea Lentil Fudge. In my opinion it doesn't look good. I mean if you why would you want peas in your dessert? How I look at dessert is health free. This is my one "meal" where I don't have to anything healthy. Would you try one of these desserts?

India

India

India has some famous and popular foods such as Murg Makhani which is buttery chicken. Indian food is different from American because most of it is hand made and not fried as much. Some traditional festivals or celebrations. One of the festivals that's coming up soon is the Mewar Festival it's on March 30th. The Mewar Festival is marking of spring in India. Another famous tradition is the Summer Festival of Mount Abu, it's on May 6th. They do some traditional rituals and they celebrate their culture with fireworks and the best Indian food. I think India has many great traditions and some of the best food.

India. The world's second most populated country. India has many amazing food. Some examples of the amazing food are Dosa, Samosas, and Daal Makhni. There are some foods there that are very strange there. There are people that eat dog, frog, and even fried snail. If I were you I would avoid eating those two food items. Those are three popular dishes in india. In India there are many festivals as well. A few examples are Diwali, Holi, and Mawlid. Kids in india play sports for fun. I would go to India just because I like to try new food.

pakistan

Some interesting foods in Pakistan are lassi, chaat , and sajji. These are interesting foods because it is typically made with regional cooking religions, as well as highly seasoned and spicy. In large urban areas popular food is Pakistani Chinese cuisine. Some popular foods in large cities are fast food places. Because of Pakistan's ethnic and cultural diversity, the foods are derived. Muslims Are forbidden to eat pork, and for that reason the main meat in Pakistan is beef, chicken, and fish. Herbs, spices, almonds, and raisins are the main foods in Mughal. Laal mirch is super healthy for humans as it has spiciness which helps burn calories.

about the good foods of South Asia

Hi, I will tell you all reading my blog about some exotic (or not so exotic)foods the people Bangladesh has eaten there. Maybe also some fun activities they have. Probably not but maybe. Why? Because it would be fun to learn about all of that. To begin with, I will start with their types of food they would eat as a meal. I will put a link in the end for the pictures of all of them, but I will show 1 of them that would eat for a meal. The other one will be a dessert. The first one is called: Shami Kababs! I'll say a reason to eat this, and it's simply because it looks like the things I normally eat for dinner. The second one, which is the very first in the deserts section, this meal is the Zafrani Kheer Patishapta. I will now say the reason why I want to eat this type of food. It reminds me of cake. I don't know why but it does. So a question for my comments. Tell me guys, which ones would you like to eat from the list below? thanks for reading my blog post!

India's food

I often eat Indian food because I’m Indian, but I don’t like spice that much. So I enjoy eating butter chicken. You can eat butter chicken with other foods. The common ones are rice, naan, or any other types of bread. Butter chicken originated from Delhi, India in 1948. It was actually made by accident, after mixing leftovers and tomato gravy. Now, the recipe is mainly made out of chicken, unflavored yogurt, spices, butter, chili pepper, tomato, and garlic. Butter chicken is orange and typically sweet compared to other types of chicken. It’s really popular and usually in every Indian restaurant. Thanks for reading!

food of India

One food that I think the best is Indian butter chicken. Main ingredients of Indian butter chicken are Chicken, Yogurt, Spice, Butter, Chili pepper, Tomato, Garlic. The reasons I like that food are because it looks so tasty, and I like all of those ingredients in Indian butter chicken. Butter in the Indian chicken makes food creamy, and it includes side of Naan and rice. I never ate Naan before, but i want to try it newly. It looks so tasty! Out of topic, what i knew by searching this food is that India include a lot of spice in food. So if you don't like spice, you better not try it.

Exploring in the Maldives!

Did you know anything about the Maldives? didn't that's why I found really interesting this place. The Maldives is a small island in South Asia, located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. Close to the Southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 1,000 kilometers from the Asian continent. The Bis keemiya (samosa), Boshi Mashuni (banana flower salad), and the Garudhiya (fragrant fish soup) are some of the plates you need to know from the Maldives. Many of their culture, traditions, and customs originated from Indian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Arabian, Persian, Indonesian, and even African influences. The Bodu Beru is one of the most popular forms of folk music and dance that is found in the inhabited islands of Maldives.

Indian Food, Y'all.

Indian food has been around since roughly 6200 BCE and has evolved greatly since then, producing staples still enjoyed to this day such as biryani, butter chicken, and chicken tikka. However, as the years go on food evolves more and more, and due to this, newer recipes can vary much more from commonly known cuisine. These recent dishes experiment heavily with their ingredients, using things like edible charcoal and an ungodly amount of gourds. One new dish that I find to be particularly interesting is paneer and fig pizza. This dish is fairly simple, using only flatbread, figs, various cheeses, and seasonings. This recipe, in particular, caught my attention, because it put a spin on an older recipe from a different culture.

Despite the differences, however, this new style of cuisine cannot be chalked up to being as gimmicky as modern food is often perceived to be. One major point that sets these new dishes apart from how modern food is typically thought of, is that new Indian food clings to its roots of being, to a certain extent, comfort food. These edibles are rich and filling, rather than being small and honestly just being a money grab.

Food will always keep evolving, so that brings me to my question: How have the foods of the culture you’ve researched changed throughout the years, and what are some new recipes?

Indian food slaps, but it sucks that we had to have a racist say that it doesn't in order for us to talk about it.

Pakistan food ~chaat~

Pakistan is one of the more popular kinds of places for food. One of the popular foods is Pakistan is Chaat (chat). It is a savory snack that is also popular in Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India. Chaat is a mixture of potato pieces, crisp fried bread, gram or chickpeas, and tangy salt pieces. I personally never tried it, but it looks delicious. It can be served in different ways, like separated from each other, or mixed all together. They say that it tastes like a fried doe with other spices but it is also sweet. There are more than 500 varieties of this type of food.

Guide to the Maldives!

Going to Maldives?

So you want to go to Maldives, huh? Well your gonna need a trusty guide to go there. User warning: This guide is not official. I simply googled some things about this place and wrote about it here.

About Maldives

Maldives is a small island located off the coast of India. It is a very tropical place, and is surrounded by water so bring your swimsuit. It is home to lots of sea life so if you don't like the idea of fish swimming around your feet, potentially nibbling your toes this is not the place for you. Also many of the housing areas are over water held up by poles in the wet sand in the water. Though it may not sound like it, it is actually quite beautiful. It is a great place to go for vaca because of the resorts there. It is a great family friendly setting to take the fam (or just you if you're sad and live alone).

Food!

Food in Maldives is quite unique (compared to American food at least). If you are used to our bland American food you're either gonna have to deal with it or starve. Some things I suggest you try are samosas, mas huni, garudhiya, chapati, and sago pudding. The sago pudding is delicious. It's like a cross between rice pudding and creme brulee (ha, I ain't never had any "sago pudding" I just looked at a picture.) Some street food to try are cassava, breadfruit, coconut, fish curry, and frigate tuna. Also if you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain I'm sure that they make pina coladas there and I'm pretty sure that it rains there so perfect place for you.

Fun

You don't have to do much to have fun in Maldives, but if you are that bored there I guess I have some fun things to do. You can go tubing. You know those floaties that get pulled by a boat that you can potentially fly off of and face plant into the water? Yeah, that's tubing. You can go swimming. I can't say that there won't be any toe nibbling fish in those waters, so watch your back...or your toes. You can go parasailing. You know the parachute that is pulled by a boat that could potentially crash into water and you're just stuck under a parachute. Yeah, that's parasailing.

Now you're ready to go to Maldives

Now you can go ahead and go to Maldives. Like I said this guide is not official so if your toes get nibbled by fish or you eat some food there that didn't settle well you can't blame me. Thanks, enjoy your trip!

Where to go?

I would like to visit the country of Nepal more often because that is where my relatives on my mom's side grew up. I love all of the fresh food they serve in some hotels. All the hotels I have stayed at in Nepal had their own special qualities. Some had massages, parks, gardens, meditation rooms, and much more fun things. I loved staying in Nepal. I have only been there about twice, but I loved it both times. It is so nice to go touring and see all of the old buildings and temples. I once visited my mom's old childhood home. It's also nice for my mom to revisited her home country. Nepal also has many wondrous and spicy foods. I love to have momos at every dining place we go to. We went to a hotel on the top of a hill once and every morning they would serve a fresh fruit salad. The only thing I would say I don't enjoy going to Nepal is the jetlag you get once you're there and once you get back home.

South Asia is an extraordinary place, but it doesn't really get the credit it should. People are scared of the area because they don't know much about it. The area has amazing natural beauty and culture. In Pakistan, the ocean provides much natural beauty, but it's a small tourist location because of the violence in parts of the country and neighboring countries. In Oman, there are beautiful waterfalls and landscapes, but this area isn't visited because of the little amount of knowledge I have about the area.
Jordan has some of the richest histories on this planet and is a place I would love to visit. Its population is less than 10 million, yet there are areas that date back to 300 BC. Jordan is a Muslim country that most practices the Islamic religion. Jordan borders the Red and Dead Sea and even has Volcanoes and Lava beds. Jordan also has many rivers, the largest being the Jordan river which stretches 156 miles before emptying into the Dead sea.

With the capital of Amman, Jordan is a Muslim country. They cook lots of foods such as Mansaf, Falafel, Maqluba. Some foods from there that we have in the USA are Hummus and Greek Yogurt. Jordan is a spectacular country in the Middle East and I would probably recommend visiting it to everyone.

India's food

One of my favorite parts of traveling is seeing different sites, but also trying different types of food. I have never been to India, but I have tried indian food in America. I imagine that Indian food in India is better than Indian food in the United States.  One type of really good Indian food is butter chicken with naan. Personally buttered chicken with naan is my favorite Indian food. They serve this dish in a lot of Indian restaurants. The sauce in the butter chicken is made of water, onion, cream, tomato, unsalted butter, vegetable oil, sugar, concentrated tomato purée, modified corn starch, spices, garlic, ginger, salt, natural smoked paprika, cardamom, lactic acid, dried fenugreek leaf, paprika extract , citric acid.  India is known for its flavorful foods and spices.

Pearl Millet In India

Pearl millet is a very common crop in India. There are lots of types of millet, but pearl millet is grown more than any other types. Pearl millet has been grown for millions of years, dating back to prehistoric times. It was introduced to Brazil in the 1960, and was introduced to America in the 1850. The earliest archaeological records in the Indian subcontinent date to around 2000 BC, it spread rapidly Northern Indian subcontinent reaching South India by 1500 BC. It is grown in the northeastern part of Nigeria, and is a major source of food for local villagers. Have you ever had something with pearl millet?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7pQDLXscys

Myanmar Foods

Myanmar is a country located east of China. When I researched it, I learned that it was quite an interesting place. What mainly stood out to me was the food there. Even though it is quite close to India, it uses fewer spices than in Indian cuisines.
Some interesting foods are Shan-style rice (a sort of fish-filled squashed rice), tea-leaf salad, and Burmese curry, to name a few. They mainly use the original taste of the food ingredients itself to make the cuisines I think I would rather try some of the more sweeter foods in the country, such as ha nwin ma kin, which is kind of like Indian son papadi.

An Interesting & Popular Food in India

Interesting food that you can find in India is Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken). It is one of the top orders of any Indian Restaurant. The ingredients in it is butter, chicken, garam masala, garlic, coriander, lemon, tomato, cream, yogurt, fenugreek, ginger, onion, chicken breast, chilli pepper, cumin, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, ground meat, cardamom, chicken thighs, and chili powder. That's just the common ingredients. Some facts about india are Christopher Columbus sailed to get to India to get spices. India also has the largest democracy (free will to make lots of food). Also when Christopher Columbus sailed to it was known as where the spices were.

Nepal by kalia

In the country Nepal they have many crazy foods, the ones I found that were most crazy were Momo which is steamed or fried with veggies, Pilaf which is a rice dish, and Thukpa which is a famous noodle soup. A big festival Nepal has coming up soon is Holi, in this celebration there where they throw colors at each other and lit bonfires for the people who died.

Sri Lanka: The Food Equivalent of a Rainforest

chose Sri Lanka to research because it is a very diverse place with tons of food. It has so many different foods like Lamprais(meat, rice, and sambal chili sauce wrapped in a banana leaf), Kukul mas curry (chicken curry), Hoppers(a sort of egg pancake), and Polos (jackfruit curry). However, the main food consumed is rice. People usually accompany the rice with a spicy curry. Normally, there is a main curry made of fish, chicken, or mutton, and a few other vegetable/lentil curries in a typical Sri Lankan meal. Chutneys and sambol are sort of like dipping sauces to complement the meal because they can give flavor to normally bland rice. An example of sambol is coconut sambol, made with scraped coconut, chili peppers, dried fish, and lime juice. There are a variety of foods in Sri Lanka that all sound mouthwatering and unique, and I hope I can visit there again one day to try more of these delectable dishes. Have any of you ever tried these foods before in Sri Lanka? If so, did they taste drastically different from Sri Lankan food from restaurants in America? Tell me below, because I'm really curious.

Pakistan

One traditional food that pakistan eats Haleem and Harees “Is not only in their ancestry but also in the ratio in which the main ingredients are used (the mutton to wheat ratio in Harees is 1:1, while Haleem is made with 3:1) and the taste.” Another food that they eat is Halwa Puri. It originates in the Indian subcontinent notably popular in Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine.
A festival that Pakistan celebrates is Eid ul Fitr in English its “Festival of Breaking the Fast” is celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. Another festival is Eid ul Azha. It’s celebrated from july 30 to August 3. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command.

India's FOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!

You can find interesting foods anywhere in the world. The place I decided to dive into was India in South Asia. Lets just say India has some, well, interesting food. One example is frog legs. You heard that right, frog legs. It sounds disgusting and it probably is. They also have fried snails which sounds gross but might not be. Another thing is silkworms. There is other food too likebutter chicken, curry, and naan. Most of the food is orange/red and looks alike but the flavors are very diverse. Going to India sounds fun, I kinda want to try all the weird foods because you never know what you might like. I challenge you to try a bunch of Indian food you are scared to try.http://www.walkthroughindia.com/offbeat/10-bizzare-weird-food-eaten-india/

indian food

There are soooooo many different kinds of food in India! I love some Indian foods that you can get here like naan and chicken tikka masala. I would love to go to India and eat some of their foods there especially ones that I have not tried. One of the foods the I would absolutely love to try is called chole bhature it is a spiced curried chickpea dish served with fried flour bread. I feel like a lot of indian food is spicy or has a little bit of spice. I love spicy foods soooo much I feel like it gives the food lots of flavor and makes it taste so good. I also feel like a lot of the Indian foods look the to me. Do you think you could try some Indian food?

Nepal Foods!!!1

I Chouse the state of Nepal because I have never learned about Nepal but I have learned about Afganistan and Pakistan. A lot of Nepal's food is typically quite spicy because it usually contains raw chilies and garlic. Dal-bhat-tarkari is eaten throughout Nepal. Dal is a soup made of lentils and spices, served over boiled grain, bhat—usually rice but sometimes another and vegetable curry, tarkari. Momo is a type of dumpling found in Nepal made of chicken, vegetables, meat, wheat/flour, and garlic. Before I go I have to ask a question would you go to Nepal and try those foods?

India

India's food can be very interesting, but I think the Papdi Chaat looks like something that would be good in India because it looks really good and very unique. Papdi Chaat is a popular traditional fast food or street food in India. It is a very doughy food with cheese and other things that you can add on top. Another food that I think looks pretty tasty is Naans. Which is a leavened Indian Flatbread food with really nothing in it but bread. Some more foods that would look pretty good in my opinion are Palak Paneer and Chole. Do you think any of these foods sound good or would you never want to try them in your life?

Sri Lankan food

The food in Sri Lanka is usually boiled or steamed rice with some kind of meat curry and other vegetable curries. I feel like there are a little too many curries in Sri Lanka for my taste. Some popular curries are sour fish curry, chicken curry, and dhal curry. Some other foods you should try are kottu, which is a popular street food made of a bunch of ingredients on bread, and lamprais, which is rice and meat in a leaf wrapper. You should also try hoppers, which are like bowl shaped pancakes. Sri Lankan food is very influenced because there were a lot of travelers who came and brought new food items. Would you like to eat Sri Lankan food? What would you eat?

Indian aBnOrMaL fOoDs

Alrighty, let’s get started! Today I would like to talk about some bizarre or strange Indian food that’s probably something you’d NEVER eat. I am gonna give a list from the more normal-but-still-weird kind of foods to the super disgusting looking crazy weird foods.

Three of the foods I could understand people would like are rat meat, frog legs, and buffalo spleen. I could see people eating that mainly because people eat buffalo anyway, the frog is also meat and so is the rat meat. Some weird foods (but still not the weirdest,) are Hisla eggs, baby shark curry, and fried snails. The weirdest ones have got to be Eri Polu Silkworm; a ton of weird thick worm insect things but there are still more foods that are even more bizarre! Like red ant chutney, dog meat, and pig brain.

Tell me what you think about these in the comments and if you’d eat them I might eat buffalo spleen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got my information at this website 10 Bizzare and Weird Food That Is Eaten In India

India's food is amazing

Indian Food

The most popular type of food in India is called Biriyani. It is a dish made of long grained rice flavored with spices such as saffron. It can be layered with chicken, goat, or sometimes even fish. When you cook it the lid is covered with dough so no air escapes. It is cooked in a low flame. Many states in India love this dish. A lot of other countries also cook this dish like Afghanistan, Pakistan, and also Persia. Persia is the country who invented it, but India is the one famous for Biriyani. People prefer Chicken and Goat for Biryani.

India's Interesting Foods

Food can always be….let’s say interesting. Some can taste as if it had come from heaven, some can look like if they were pulled out of the ground, and some look like if someone threw it up. *cough cough* sea cucumbers *cough cough*. And like any place in the world, India has its fair share of ‘interesting’ foods. For example, take a look at this dish in India: ‘Red Ants Chutney’. I mean, I definitely understand that some people eat bugs and stuff, but still, I can’t really take this in. I kinda just can’t imagine myself eating ants. But what’s worse than eating ants? Worms. More specifically, silkworms. If you like it, I won’t judge you (I’m going to judge you.). But the bizarreness of this isn’t just the taste or its appearance. It's more of the texture. You see, a lot of the foods I tend to not like are usually because of, well, texture. When I think about worms in general, I usually think that it's slimy. So eating worms just sends a weird shiver in my mouth. Which kind of doesn't make sense, but hey, you should get what I’m saying here. But another thing that sort of disgusts me is eating brains. I guess you could say that it reminds me of a zombie apocalypse or something. Don’t worry, Indians aren’t zombies, but they do eat pig brains. This actually surprised me, because unlike all the other foods I’ve listed, I have never seen a pig’s brain. Have you? Have you tasted a pig’s brain? Is it yummy? In the comments, feel free to tell me. And for the last question, what are some interesting foods you’ve experienced?

Indian women wear red on weddingRed is being considered in many Indian community as the symbol of prosperity and fertility, it also signifies the color of love and strength. Therefore, mostly Hindu and Sikh brides are asked to wear red colored attire for their wedding since it signifies some important aspect of their lives

The Worlds Best Cricket Country; India

India is an amazing country. It is the home of one of the best sports in the world, Cricket. Have you ever been to India? Do you like food from India? Do you play Cricket? Cricket is a sport that takes a lot of talent. The best food in India, in my opinion, is Curry. Others include Murg Makhani (Butter Chicken), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Palak Paneer (Spinach and Cottage Cheese). Some Indian traditions are The Namaste, Joint Families, Fasting, Holy Cow, Arrange Mariage System, Indian Ethnic Wear. India use to be its own country, but now it is a subcontinent.

India's Language!

India has many languages. Even though most countries' language is called after what the people of those countries are called. But not India, first I though what Indians spoke was called Indian, because that's what people who live in India's called. Well, I was wrong, because India has many languages and there is no such language as Indian. Most people in India speak Hindi and English. But that doesn't mean everyone who's Indian speak Hindi or English, there are 22 languages in India and Hindi and English are just 2 official languages. Also, India's states have their own languages. There are 29 states and some states choose Hindi as their language, so 22 must right number for how many languages are in India. The reason why India has many languages, and that a lot of languages with a large population of speakers, is because India is such a large country, whose formation did not take into account ethic and linguistic division.

Diving Into Maldives

Has anyone heard of Maldives? I sure haven't! The Maldives is a small island nation in South Asia, located in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. It is southwest of Sri Lanka and India. As I have previously mentioned, I haven't heard of this nation, but I find its location and name intriguing, which is why I chose to do this blog on it. Many of their culture, traditions, and customs originated from Indian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Arab, Persian, Indonesian, and even African influences. This is shown in their dances and the accompanying music. For example, Boduberu, a traditional dance in the Maldives, takes you to Africa through the language and the rhythm of the drums. Thaara, another popular folk dance in the Maldives, is believed to be introduced by the Gulf Arabs. Many more of the Maldives's traditional dances have origins similar to these. Do you think that the popular songs of the younger generation have origins like Thaara or Boduberu?
(Because I don't!)

Bangladesh information blog

Bangladesh info on history, language, etiquette, culture, and location

“Oh my gosh, did you hear about Bangladesh, I do not know what it is. Is it a common food that is made with farmed ingredients”? “I think it is part of a shoe collection, I’m imagining it as special converses with a star on the base”. “No guys, I think it’s a news channel that talks about South Asia”.

Bangladesh is a small country in Southern Asia that is hardly in the news, due to lack of attention or lack of conflicts. Bangladesh is located in the delta of the Padma (Ganges Ganga) and Jamuna (Brahmaputra). Bangladesh is called “Land of the Bengalis' ), because the Bengal river cuts through it. Most of the people are muslim, other races have a small population in Bangladesh. In 1971, Bangladesh became an independent country along with its capital in Dhaka.

Bengali or Bangla is the majority language, the language that many people speak in Bangladesh. The aryan languages are spoken in Bangladesh, aryan means a member of one of the peoples of the indian subcontinent speaking and indo-european language. The aryan languages that people speak in Bangladesh are Bishnupriya, Chakma, Chittagoggian, Hajong, Rohingya, Sylheti, Tangchangya, Rangpuri, Assamese, Oraon Sadri, and Bihari. The non-aryan languages (austroasiatic languages) in Bangladesh are Khasi, Koda, Mundari, Pnar, Santali, and War- Jaintia. I did not expect that there would be a lot of languages, but they do have a lot of culture.

Bangladesh has a lot of culture, it is amazing how they are compactas a country, while others are falling apart. One greeting that surprised me was when they take place between people with the same sex. This one rule of giving gifts to people is that you should never give money or white flowers, it will be taken offensively and will be considered inappropriate at funerals. As they say, “the left hand is always unclean, so only eat, pass dishes, or drink with the right hand”. Many people eat with their hands, so you might share a dish with others, it’s common.

“ Oh my, now I know more about Bangladesh’s country, I should have stayed in school”.
