Pearl Millet In India

Pearl millet is a very common crop in India. There are lots of types of millet, but pearl millet is grown more than any other types. Pearl millet has been grown for millions of years, dating back to prehistoric times. It was introduced to Brazil in the 1960, and was introduced to America in the 1850. The earliest archaeological records in the Indian subcontinent date to around 2000 BC, it spread rapidly Northern Indian subcontinent reaching South India by 1500 BC.
