Where islands are the world.

Have you ever wanted to buy a part of the world? Well you can, with The World. The World is 300 man-made islands, made in the shape of continents.  If you wanted to, you could buy a part of the United States with only one catch, it costs millions of dollars. I know right? Huge let down. The World is located in the waters of the Persian Gulf, right off Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These artificial islands are made mainly of sand from Dubai coastal waters. It’s a lot of money to buy some sand these days, isn’t it? Anyway, all of the islands are completely private, so unless you wanted to, there would be no sharing of the beach. Some people even live there full time (of course, super rich people). This doesn't all seem ideal to me because the cost of the island doesn't cover any construction or building costs, and where would you do your shopping or get groceries? It would be nice though, to have an entire island to yourself. What do you think and would you want to live on one of these islands?

  1. The World sounds like an awesome place! I would love to visit there it sounds amazing. That would be the life to live on a island by your self. I know it sounds like a lot of money but it isn't that much for a island in Dubai. It would be a lot of work to go back and worth between Dubai and your island but with that kind of money you could have a servant. Would you like to visit Dubai or The World islands?.

    1. I think you're right about if being a lot of work to go back and forth between Dubai and The World islands. But if you had that much money you could just have a plane fly you your groceries, and shopping etc... Honestly though if I could visit Dubai or The World, I would probably visit Dubai. Dubai is already such a great place, whereas some islands of The World are just mounds of sand. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Who knows what else is out there?
