Dora is a Latin icon with a monkey named Boots and a talking backpack and map but she could have been white. One day their boss went to a convention and there was no Latinas so she was like why not just make her Latina. at the time of making the show, a guy named Pat Buchanan wanted to make America only an English speaking country and in Dora the character Dora was bilingual. on August 14, 2000, "Dora The Explorer" aired on Nick Jr. for the first time. it blow up in America it came a common icon around all of North America and for preschoolers and made the top in vocabulary and learning shows. a 7-year-old going through her life awesome imagination a monkey boots talking map and backpack made a big hit she very famous and successful. if anyone knows were the speaker/actor is ii would like to know.

For example, when you said, Dora is Latin icon and bilingual, you said after that that the company had no ideas and made her Latinx. I liked that you included that.
