What the Heck is Facial Recognition?

Facial Recognition, some confused people like me may be like “What the heck is that supposed to mean?”. Well it means that anyone or anything that can look at your face and recognize who you are. In fact you use it everyday, it’s how you know your best friend is your best friend and not some random person that you think you know, and for the people with modern technology use it all the time to unlock their phones. Even security cameras can be used for facial recognition. You may be like why does this matter and I can tell you why. It helps police departments solve crimes, in fact just in 2017 women walked into a store took a pair of $130 boots, put them in her purse, and walked out. Later the Washington County Sheriff’s office looked at the security camera and uploaded her face into a computer. Though you may take face recognition for granted sometimes, like when your phone won’t unlock even though you registered your face into it, it can help you a whole lot. What do you think life would be like without facial recognition? Think about it, a world with people who don’t have any memory of anyone’s face.

  2. I think that is correct because the facial recognition can help a lot, it can help police departments to solve crimes and find people. And i think life would be difficult for police departments because if somebody makes a crime they don't know how a person is but if they have secure cameras that can work for facial recognition and would be easier to find the person. In my opinion I think is important to have facial recognition but is important that the people how use the information used by a correct way, and I wonder if this just can help police departments?

  3. I agree somewhat to this response, but my question is What Happens If They Framed the wrong person?, For Example what if there was someone who LOOKED like her but wasn't actually her.
