Unique Things About Pakistan

Some unique things I found out about Pakistan are that they have some of the highest mountain ranges in the world. They are the Himalayas and Hindu Kush range. They also have the deepest sea port in the world and it’s called Gwadar port. They have the first Islamic country to attain nuclear power and that happened May 28th, 1998. Another cool thing about Pakistan is that they make more 50% of the footballs (soccer balls). Around 60 million soccer balls are hand stitched in Pakistan because they are a trademark of their countries. I would like to visit Pakistan and other countries in South Asia like Bangladesh, Nepal and India.  What countries do you want to visit in South Asia leave a comment.

  1. Hand stitched footballs? That's crazy considering there are over 50 million footballs made a year. I just looked it up and it turns out the deepest sea port is 29,035 feet! If you put that height on land it would be bigger than three Eiffel towers stacked on each other?. That is so crazy scary that you couldn't even pay me a million dollars to consider going down there.Would you like to go down there?

  2. I like all of the interesting and unique facts you found out about Pakistan. It made me want to research more about your topic. More than 60 million hand stitched soccer balls… that is a lot! In 2014, during the World Cup, they made more than 70% of soccer balls worldwide. I found out that the highest point of the Himalayas is Mount Everest at 29,029 feet which is the tallest mountain in the world. The highest point of the Hindu Kush is Tirich Mir at 25,230 feet and this is the 38th tallest mountain in the world. Elaina, I think you might want to look at Lexie’s post. She wrote some amazing facts about the Himalayas and Mount Everest. It ties in with what you wrote about Pakistan.
