The Syrian Refugee crISIS

Ok, so the Syrian Refugee Crisis Is growing very large. 4.3 million Syrians are refugees, and half are children. Millions of Syrian children were forced out of school, and many Syrian children risk being abused, malnourished, exploited, or becoming ill. Also, If that wasn't bad enough, only 10% of the Syrian refugees have made it to Europe, but most remain in the middle east. In addition, winter is coming, and refugees have little resources like blankets and coats. More than 3,200 have died this year, including a little boy named Aylan, whose photo changed the world. This is the photo.

Little Aylan drowned at sea. The Syrian refugee crisis affects more people than Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti earthquake, and the Indian Ocean tsunami combined. Children's safety, violence, and shattered infrastructure are the main reasons that Syrians are leaving their home. I think we should do more to help them. If you want to learn more, go to this link.

  1. I agree with you Will. This is a big problem that needs to be fixed. Lots of these people don't deserve to die just because their country is in a civil war. I can't believe how many people this affects. I wish that so many kids didn't have to live through this. I think our school should start a blankets and canned food drive for the Syrian refugees. What can you do to help them?

  2. You are totally right. The people in Syria shouldn’t be dying because other people can’t agree on something. On Google, I learned that more than 4 million refugees have left Syria during the course of the war. If that many people are leaving, then imagine how many people are getting injured, or die of starvation.

  3. I think you are so right. I feel so sad for the innocent little children. I think it is so sad how people are dieing when they haven't done anything to the people who are attacking, especially STUPID ISIS . There have been so many people dieing for starvation or escaping.
