WHY WAR?

After "taking a walk" through ruins, dumps, and hospitals, and seeing all those people living in horrible conditions, I feel like.. why does all of this have to happen?

Well, there's wars and conflicts, and people want to fight over power, but isn't there a better way to figure things out than fighting?  Is there a way to make everyone happy by communicating, not fighting? Sometimes war is a good choice, but it's not good for everyone. Maybe they could share the land, but that would probably result in more problems. I think there will be a war over the unfair share of water sooner or later. It is likely that we end up destroying ourselves. On the one hand, some things aren't so fair, like how some of the countries share an unequal amount of water, but maybe they could somehow figure it out and develop a solution before they start fighting. For example, two different places both want to take over a specific place, and they both want to own the land without sharing it with anybody else. Maybe the other place could give its opponent a deal, or offering them something to avoid war. Then we'll all be a very happy, big, um... FAMILY! Yay! Ok, maybe not family, but at least we won't be enemies.  

After seeing all those people in the hospital, burned up and missing body parts, I think war doesn't really benefit anyone, or everyone at least. But on the other hand, sometimes we do   need war. The thing is, war mainly results in injuries and death in both sides. If we didn't have arguments, if we could just figure thing out, then we would have no war, then all of these things wouldn't happen. Do you people think there is a better way to solve problems other than war? Or does war have to happen?
