Promises Reflection by Elissa Weinrick

I learned in "Promises" that the Israelis and the Jews have a tough war going on right now. They both think that the land around Jerusalem should be theirs. This creates a problem for the people living there. One side is trying to get to their most sacred place. The other side is preventing this from happening. Therefore, you have two countries fighting so that they can each have their sacred land. Also, the kids don't have friends that are from the other side. I learned, however, that we all have the possibility to make a change in the world and that kids can created peace in the world. What did you learn?
