Text-to-Self Connection Time

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say society as a whole generally doesn't listen to children and what we have to say. It's sad, but that's just what happens. I wasn’t surprised to hear that your level of authority matters in whether you’re believed or not, but I was glad it was brought up, because it happens. This might not sound like a lesson I learned, but I assure you it is, just in my own little roundabout way. Can anyone relate to this kind of thing? When you aren’t taken seriously because of your age or level of authority? Because I can and it's not fun.

  1. Also, funny story, the podcast talked about how Cassandra wasn't believed because of her authority, but Cassandra was actually a princess of Troy, and quite beautiful. That doesn't seem to line up real well.

  2. I can completely relate to all of your above statements. I feel this disregard for specific people (young and/or old) is an issue that should be addressed. How do you, personally, think we, as a society, could fix this issue? Do you think it would be difficult? Hard?
(also, I agree with your above comment, that was also something that confused me when I listened to the podcast.)
