The plane had exploded about a minute after it had lifted off from the ground. This all brings you back to the Cassandra curse. Cassandra was the daughter of the king of Troy. The Cassandra curse was a curse put on Cassandra that made her be able to see the future but no one would believe her. One example of a situation when no one would believe her when she saw the future is when Cassandra predicts that her captor and herself will get murdered.  If only he would have believed Cassandra he might not have been murdered by his own wife. Cassandra couldn't have done anything about herself self though she was trapped in a house acting as a slave when she was murdered. This related to the spacecraft exploding because scientists warned people that the shuttle might not be safe but nobody believed them. This shows that just because it doesn't sound logical doesn't mean you shouldn't believe them.

  1. I think the, "if only we would have believed Cassandra." sentence is very interesting because it makes me think. How different the world would be now if we had listened to Cassandra all those years ago. (Very good paragraph. :)
