Maldivian food

Traditional Maldivian food is usually made up of three main ingredients: coconut, fish and starches that contain grains and vegetables.
Coconuts have even been named the Maldives national tree because they are grown on every island in the country and are such an
important part of the culture. Another big food in the Maldives is curry. I’ve had curry before and I was not a fan but I guess I can see why other people do.
There are also Maldivian specialty dishes like mas huni, a tuna salad with coconut that is usually eaten for breakfast, and handulu bondibai,
a sweetened sticky rice that is usually eaten for special occasions.
