Mountain Gorillas: an endangered species.

Mountain gorillas are a type of ape that live in the mountains and volcanic slopes of Africa. They are becoming endangered though because of humans destroying their habitats, poaching them, and civil wars. They are shy, aggressive when threatened, and are said to live in national parks across Africa. These poor guys are critically endangered, and four big national parks in Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwanda. In my opinion, mountain gorillas should be saved. In fact, since they are critically endangered, poachers should be severely punished if caught, and all natural wildlife habitats left should be turned into national parks so that humans cannot destroy those areas of Africa for homes and factories. What else can you learn about these gorillas? What do you think would help them survive?

  1. I completely agree with your blog post! These Mountain Gorillas are endangered and people need to do something about it. Ways to help are to donate to organizations working to protect the gorillas, support the national parks with some of the gorilla population, organize fundraisers, and more! Humans need to start paying attention to animals who are dropping in population or else who knows what animals will be left. More facts about the species are how they live also live in rain forests and they are vegetarians. Did you know they also can grow up to 6 feet tall and they live on average 53 years. Also, I have to mention how their main predators are humans and leopards. Did you catch that? Humans are on their predator list….):
