Promises

In the movie, Promises, we see the war from different kid’s perspectives. The Israelis think that the land is theirs because they took it over from the Palestinians. The Palestinians think that they should have the right to build anywhere. I can’t believe that Sanabel  lived 10 minutes away from Jerusalem and hasn’t been there her whole life. Mahmoud was saying that all Jews were all mean and hateful. But when he figured out that B.Z was a Jew, he was very confused. You can’t judge people by their religion because everyone is different.

I predict that the kids will talk about the war and why they think that the war should end. I know that both groups want the war to end and both groups know that they aren’t really winning anything if the other side forfeits. They both lose lives of their loved ones. What do you think about the affect that children can do to stop a war?
