Frenemies, Friends, Or Enemies?

I learned many things from the film "Promises" and even though I am still confused on some parts of the war, I think I understand most of it. The thing is Palestinians and Israelis both have documents that say they own the land, and there can only be one ruler. Everywhere you go, you have to be cautious and careful. A bombing might happen anytime since you never know when.

One thing is for sure: the kids all want the war to stop. Also many kids are taught to hate Jews, so in the film, many of them did not want to meet the Jewish kids. They think that the kids are going to grow up and end up being enemies with them anyway. In my opinion, I really think they should meet the Jewish children because first of all, it's not exactly the kid's fault that they are Jewish. They were born in a Jewish family. Also, they are just following what their parents do. If the kids meet each other, at least there is a chance that the Jewish kids will understand what they feel. I feel like the kids will meet each other and first talk about hobbies, foods, and things like that but I feel like they will end up talking about the war. Hopefully they don't get into an argument. It's better if they think about what each other is going through and try to understand each other's opinions.

Do you think the kids should meet each other? If you were in their situation, how would you feel about meeting the Jewish people?
