Syria Vs. Syria A Battle to the Death

Many people died in Syria over a four and a half years. The war started with protests against the government and turned into a full-scale civil war. Thus, millions of people were kicked out of their homes because of the war. As you can see, the revolt against the government started in March 2011 in Daraa after the police arrested and tortured the teenagers who vandalized their school’s wall with protests against the government rule. This is what triggered the war that killed thousands of people. What do you think why the teens who vandalized the school were tortured?

  1. I think the government tortured the teens to show them who's boss. They also probably wanted no one else to do it so they tortured them. Also I think it is really terrible they tortured them and stupid of the government because it is giving them a bad look. Do you think it was good or bad to torture them.

  2. I believe that the police tortured the teens to show everybody what would happen, if this were to happen again. The police probably wanted everyone to think that it's bad to revolt against the government. I did some research and the police said they were "stopping the revolt". Mitch what do you think the police should've done?
