11 million people being forced from their homes (like I'm forced to come to school)
More than 250,000 Syrians have lost their lives in four-in-a-half years of armed conflict, which began with anti-government protests before escalating into a full-scale civil war. From doing the walks yesterday I learned that many houses have been torn down, for example, people are struggling to find a place to live. They have bomb shelters built on some of the streets and some towns are just plain deserted. Also, more than 11 million people have been forced from their homes as forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and those opposed to his rule battle each other-as well as jihadist militants from Islamic state. What do you think of people being forced from their homes, and what did you learn from the walks?

If I was forced out of my home I would not know what to do next. I would be very scared and I would feel helpless. No matter what I would always make sure my children were okay and that they were safe. I learned from the walk that war can tear apart a country in just days. Which is a really sad thing to think about. How would you keep yourself safe during war?
