Uhm…I listened to the Cassandra podcast, yesterday? And on Monday.
And now I have to do this… thing. Blog post. Whatever.
And now I have to do this… thing. Blog post. Whatever.
Anyway, Reina earlier said that in one minute, a disaster will happen and that you should listen to her or else you will die. But should you really? Why should you believe someone that types in all caps?
That is what the citizens of Troy thought of Cassandra. To them, she was a little bit insane. Who wouldn’t think that? She acted strangely, sometimes, and she would always talk with weird, jumbly words.
However, what they didn’t know, was that she was speaking a prophetic language. Which means that she could see the future. It came with a drawback, though. She could only say them in the aforementioned weird, jumbly language, and no one could believe her. All her warnings were ignored.
And disasters happened.
Which is exactly what would happen if people don't listen to the warnings now. Global warming, obesity, and more, the problems could all be pretty much fixed if certain people listened. Certain people.
I know people have tried, and tried, to convince people (such as our president) that those problems were real. But many of the “convincing” involved plenty of arguing. And I think that arguing will only make it worse. I’ve seen people who have complained about others forcing their (though correct) views on them. And this will increase the hatred for the other’s opinion. No one’s going to listen to an angry person. We should use a more peaceful way to coerce the other people into a better view. I don’t know how, but we just… should.
Yeah, we should.
