A woman named Cassandra was not believed by any of the Greeks because she had no power. It was about how she had a vision and how she told everyone that this bad thing was going to happen. That bad thing was an attack. None believed her. But then that something disastrous happened and Cassandra was the only one that survived. The same thing happened with NASA. Someone said that the spacecraft would malfunction, but no one would believe the person. So on Jan. 28, 1986 the spacecraft blasted off then in the air it exploded. It was called the Cassandra Curse. Another example is when someone went into a tunnel full of preserved, frozen dead animals. It did not smell when he first went in, but then the second time he started smelling the dead animals and he knew that the dead animals were defrosting and that was because of climate change. So he told everyone because climate change is bad, but some people did not care and still don’t care, and now global warming is a really big problem.
I like how you talked about global warming and how nobody cared back then, but now its a really big problem and its really important.
ReplyDeleteI thought that your approach to this was quite clever. I like how you showed what all of the "Cassandras" went through that were mentioned in the podcast. I agree with you, global warming is a very large problem. I also thought that your title was very interesting. The dinosaurs did end up going extinct. They never had the chance to prevent the danger. But we do. Do you think that humans will take that opportunity for granted or not?
