“Omg have you heard about the new movie coming out.” “Yes I have, I can not wait to see how Dora has grown and how she accomplishes her goal of finding “ the lost city of gold”.
Right now the Trump administration announced new rules for immigration to the United States. There are many complaints from the democrats but 6 out of 10 Republicans dislike immigrants that were not the same race to the language they spoke. Almost 2 out of 3 republicans do not like american values.
How Dora the Explorer became a touchstone is clever, one day in 1998 Chris and Valerie were expected to make a latino show on Nick jr. At first they decided to do something with animals that would venture into the post office (would sound very dumb, thank goodness they did not do that). After all that thinking for nothing, they decided to trust their gut, with a simple 7 year old girl from South America (girl power).
Many bilinguals liked this film because other than being racist they decided to go with some other’s cultures and not just american. Dora is the first latinx icon around the world that was aired on tv, in the 2000’s. In Dora the Explorer it shows how positive and negative people treat indigenous people, or how they used to.
Another cartoon that was aired in the 1990’s was “Blue’s Clues” where “Steve” is solving mysteries with Blue, his puppy. One of the things they did were asking the audience questions, making the audience participate for the show’s people ( that is smart). That’s why Dora asks her audience questions and to say spanish (which I did).
In conclusion Dora the explorer has lasting impressions on many people around the world. Whether it is diversity, adversity or just fitting in, Dora made it look possible, if Dora can do this the whole world can do it too. Also go to the city of lost gold it sounds “ok” for me but others might give it a good review or wish they haven’t seen it.
I love it! But the second paragraph doesnt fit, it should be rather foucused on Dora and how trump saw her rather then political issues. Also, I dont think there was a necessity for that big of space for each paragraph. Other than that it was amazing. Now the question is can you make it better?
