Everyone knows Zeus right? But how well do you know any of the lesser known gods/goddesses? For example, the goddess of women and marriage is Hera. She is not as popular, but just as powerful. Hera is Zeus’ sister-wife. Otherwise known as wister (my combination of sister and wife). Lions, cows, and peacocks (Oh my!) were her sacred animals. Hera was better known as the Queen of Gods, a title that suits her, I mean she did marry Zeus and all. Jealousy and scandals on Mt. Olympus were common in the marriage of Hera and Zeus. Hera was always upset over Zeus’s affairs. However, what most rattled her, was that Paris chose Aphrodite as the most beautiful goddess over her. Anyways, how well do you know the Queen of Gods?
