Greek Mythology Heroes & Monsters

Usually when people think of Greek mythology they think of monsters and heroes like Hercules and Odysseus and that is just what I am blogging about. One of the more common myths is the Hydra, Minotaur, and Medusa these are all Hybrid animals and humans. Supposably created by the gods to guard or protect something from man. There is still no proof that these (Monsters) actually existed during the time of the ancients but that still is unknown. The Hydra is supposed to consist on multiple heads the minotaur is said to be part bull and the Medusa is part snake. Strange you think?

 All of these crazy things sound impossible but why would the ancients create these myths? to scare people?
