Indian cuisine consists of a wide variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent. Given the range of diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic groups, and occupations, these cuisines vary substantially from each other and use locally available spices, herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Indian food is also heavily influenced by religion, in particular Hinduism, cultural choices and traditions. The cuisine is also influenced by centuries of Islamic rule, particularly the Mughal rule. Historical events such as foreign invasions, trade relations, and colonialism have played a role in introducing certain foods to this country. The Columbian Discovery of the New World brought several new vegetables and fruit to India. A number of these such as the potato, tomatoes, chilies, peanuts, and guava have become staples in many regions of India. Indian cuisine has influenced other cuisines across the world, especially those from Europe (especially Britain), the Middle East, Southern African, East Africa, Southeast Asia, North America, Mauritius, Fiji, Oceania, and the Caribbean. Each state of India has its type of cuisine and each tastes unique. This is what makes each dish different and special. People from all around the world come to India to taste the lovely dishes served in this country. The famous dishes of India are Biryani- a mixed rice dish, Dosa and Idli, Chicken Tikka, Pav Bhaji, Paneer Butter Masala, etc. There are so many dishes that it is hard to list them all. Each of them tastes fantastic and I love them all. But, the question is, what type of cuisine do you like?
I liked your post about the Indian cuisines. I also like how you included parts of what is in most of the Indian dishes. Regarding your question, I think I would like to try Paneer. I did some research on it and noticed it was a cheese. One thing about me is that I like cheese. However, I've never tried this cheese so it's one to try. I think you should read Aiden's blog post because you both discussed ingredients used in traditional dishes. For example, you both mentioned how rice is often used in dishes. In case you cannot find Aiden's blog, here is the link (https://hopsblog2015.blogspot.com/2020/02/nepalese-food.html).
