The things that I learned on the Cassandra curse is somewhat how the government works with a problem, they ask who messed up, such as what came after the explosion of a spaceship. Another thing I learned about is that the greeks hid in a big wooden horse and put it in front of their enemy's door and said it was a peace offering and they let them in and they came out and attack the people from the inside. I think it was pretty smart and that was technically the whole plan of the moment. Would you listen to a warning if someone told you one?

I've always wanted to go to Alaska, but after hearing their is dead animals under the road that are putting carbon into the air. It gives me second thoughts. And it's melting the glaciers to double uh oh!!!! !. still don't understand why people didn't believe cassandra even though she wasn't a known person. When their was something wrong/ risk with the challenger they launched anyway which lead to😢😢😢😢 and death.In the passage the narrator shows why casandra can tell what will happen in the future. And why no one would listen to her. If I was her I would be mad that no one would listen to me about the things I knew would happen. This passage about cassandra curse showed how the religion and culture of the people who believe in the cassandra curse.

Cassandra's Curse: Now and Then

The Cassandra Curse is based off a Greek myth. The myth explains that Cassandra is a prophet, but one whose warnings aren't heeded. In the Trojan war, she tells people in a prophetic way that they shouldn't bring in the wooden horse full of Greek warriors. However, nobody listens, and the Greeks mercilessly slaughter the Trojans, dealing them a heavy blow. Today, there is a much larger problem; climate change. If the earth warms, the permafrost will melt, releasing 2 times as much carbon dioxide as there already is. Scientists are trying to warn the world that this is happening, but once again, no one is listening! What would you do in the scientists' place to prevent another disaster from the Cassandra Curse, and why?

WHY WON'T ANYONE LISTEN TO ME?

The lesson I learned from this podcast is that sometimes, you just have to believe in what other
people say sometimes, because even if it might seem absurd, sometimes it is the truth. Not only do
you sometimes have to believe, but you also have to act upon it or just believing won’t do anything.

If someone seemed to disagree with me when I was telling the truth, I’d try my best to gather all evidence and prove that what I said was true. Or, I'd get witnesses to prove that what I said really was true. To convince the people in power that actions need to be taken, you have to again, give solid evidence. Even if they don’t believe you at that point, many other people would be moved. 

Say I had a chance to visit the Alaskan Tunnel today, I’m guessing I’d be very shocked at how bad the situation really was; sometimes you don’t know how bad it is unless you see it personally. Also, I’d probably be really shocked at the smell mentioned in the video. My thoughts probably wouldn’t be different even if I visit the tunnel because even then, I’d still believe people need to take action for climate change. It’d just strengthen my thoughts, to be honest. 

The Alaskan Tunnel was a perfect example of the Cassandra Curse, why is it that Chris warned everyone about the effects of melting permafrost but no one decided to listen? Or if they listened, why didn’t they take action? 

Who Gets The Blame!?

 On January 20th, 1986, the 25th space shuttle mission- Challenger launched that caused a disaster. After a minute of launch, the spaceship blasted. Although the technician of this project realized that there is a problem and told the manager, the manager did not listen and alas, the consequence was destruction. But why did it happen? Why didn’t the manager listen to the technician who was trying to save everyone? This problem is quite common in the present and is related to the backstory of Cassandra- a doomed and cursed prophet. Cassandra- the daughter of King Priam of Troy was a cursed prophet. She could see and tell the future, but nobody believed her. It was not her mistake that she was not believed because she was cursed. And one way was that she used to tell the future in a weird and confusing language. Her best known prophecy was on the Trojan War. She had already seen the future, she knew that the Greek soldiers would come out of the Trojan Horse and attack the city. She had seen many futures and tried to warn people but nobody believed her and then her prophecy had actually occurred. This psychology of warnings is still present. Many people like Andrew Natsios saw the future and saved many people’s lives. And then we get back to the Challenger launch. If a person realized that there was a problem and reacted to save the people’s lives who were going to die terribly in that launch and were going to live their last moments of life just for a minute in a rocket that was going to blast, why did the manager not abort the mission? Recent problems of global warming are occuring due to more Co2 present in the atmosphere. People believe that more Co2 is thrown into the atmosphere during volcanic eruptions, which is not true. The permafrost throws out 2 times more of Co2 present  in the atmosphere into the atmosphere. We should do something. I think that we should sometimes believe people if they can sense danger, it does not matter whether we believe that people can see the future, so we can save ourselves from the disastrous problems that can occur from that. Is it possible for people to listen others knowing what would happen so that destruction will go away?

Cassandra's Curse

Cassandra's curse was about a woman who could see the future. She could see that the trojan horse was not a good thing, but no one believed her. She could see events that would happen in the future, but when she warned people about the events to come no one believed her. If you warned someone about something that was going to happen bad in the future would you believe them or would think they're crazy?
